Course Outline
This General course enables students to:
- use the scientific method to complete investigations
- demonstrate knowledge of the workplace health and safety requirements and practices while working safely in the laboratory or the field
- understand that science uses knowledge to solve problems and make informed decisions that impact people and the environment and
- understand relationships within and between living and physical systems
This is done by taking a multidisciplinary approach, including aspects of biology, chemistry, geology and physics, that encourages students to apply what they have learnt in class to real-world situations.
Minimum Entrance Requirements
An interest in Science, although an understanding of scientific processes used in Year 11 is helpful for students in Year 12.
