2024 Year 12 Colours Evening for Semester 1

On Tuesday, 30 July, eight-one Year 12 students where recognised and awarded Colours badges and certificates for their excellent achievement in a range of fields including academic, endeavour, community and performance.

Over one hundred and ten parents and staff attended to see the students receive their awards.

The College would like to thank our guest speaker, Dina Jamal, a MSC 2019 graduate, for taking the time to speak to the audience about her journey since leaving senior school. Dina attended Curtin University after leaving the College and completed a Bachelor in Pharmacy and is now doing her Masters in Education.

Special thanks to our invited guests Mrs Tracey Roberts MP (Federal Member for Pearce and Chair of the College Board) and Mrs Sue Egerton (College Board Member) for attending the evening and for their help presenting the awards.

Our music students are also to be acknowledged for their performances throughout the evening.  Two students played a number of covers while guests mingled in the Atrium while waiting for the presentations and a cover of Edge of Seventeen and Gold on the Ceiling were also given during the awards. Well done to these Year 12 students – Suna Wallce, Mackenzie Goodall, Brooke Fuller, Raul Castillo, Max Burbidge, Tom Lavery and Innes Kerr.

Congratulations to all the students who achieved Semester One Colours, and in particular to students who achieved Full Colours. Full Colours is awarded to Year 12 students who have received a Colours Award each semester in Year 11 and the first semester in Year 12. These students will be recognised again at Presentation Evening and their names will appear on the Full Colours Honour Board in the Atrium at the College.
