2020 Year 12 Colours Awards Night – Semester One
On Tuesday, 18 August over 145 parents, students and staff attended the Year 12 Colours Evening for 2020.
Seventy-one students were recognised and awarded Colours badges and certificates for their excellent achievement in Semester One in a range of fields including performance, community, endeavour and academic.
Students and parents were entertained by our music students and catering was supplied by ‘Fresh As’ café.
Guest speaker Ffion Nutter, 2015 graduate, spoke about her journey since leaving the College and not knowing what she wanted to be when she ‘grew up’. It was only by chance while visiting a movie set whilst on an overseas holiday that she realised she wanted to be the person who created scenes for movies. Ffion’s also talked about the positives of completing as many certificate courses as possible after compulsory schooling to help decide on a future career.
The College would like to acknowledge the invited guests who presented certificates to the students, Mr Wolf van Munster – Vice-chair of the College Board and Ms Susan Kinsella – College Board Member.
Congratulations to all the students who achieved Colours, and in particular to our students from our graduating class of 2020 who achieved Full Colours.
Full Colours is awarded to students who have received a Colours Award each semester in Year 11 and the first semester in Year 12. These students will be recognised again at their Presentation Evening and their names will appear on the Full Colours Awardees Honour Board in the Atrium at the College.
