2023 Year 11 Health Expo
On Thursday, 15 June Mindarie Senior College hosted the West Australian Health Promoting Schools Association for a networking event from 7.30am prior to our annual Health Expo. The keynote speaker at the event was Monique Carreira from Helping Minds who spoke about how to boost mental wellbeing, resiliency and how to navigate mental health services. After the networking event participants setup their stalls for the Health Expo and this year was the largest display from external exhibitors.
The expo was opened at 9.00am with an Acknowledgement to Country by the organiser of the expo and one of our Health teachers, Mrs Macdonald.
Our Year 11 Health Studies students have spent the term creating their own presentation boards on what they think is an issue in society today. Students and staff spent the day exploring the many exhibits on display and getting involved in all the fun activities.
The College would like to acknowledge Mrs Adelle Macdonald and the Health & Phys-Ed teachers for the organisation and running of the event, the Year 11 General Health students for their preparation and running of their stalls, and all staff who assisted throughout the day.
